Email received the day after
"Brendan,
Would you please thank all the members of the Down South Big Band who played such wonderful music for us last night. As could be seen by the numbers dancing, everyone enjoyed the music very much. Thank you also for reducing your fee for the evening. The night was to raise money for the Bionic Ear Institute and for research into Meningococcal. As John Nelson has done such a magnificent job in riding 9500Km for these two causes, I was pleased you see you were all prepared to contribute your time for us. With donations, the Raffle and the proceeds of the night, we have been able to raise about $3000.00 for these two causes.
Thank you again for playing last night. I am sure our Rotary Club, or others in the area, will be calling on you to play again.
Regards,
Tony Spring
